I offer tuition in a range of subjects, developing a tailored approach based around your personality, learning style, and educational goals and needs. All tuition services involve helping individuals to improve their skills and grades across the writing disciplines, looking at areas including:

Lessons will be held online through Microsoft Teams, but this can be flexible.
All tuition services are £50 an hour, unless stated otherwise. If booked in a block of 10 or more sessions, a 10% discount will be provided. Furthermore, if homework marking, exam prep materials, and feedback reports are desired, please note this may incur a further charge.

English Literature
Literature offers an entrance to a world beyond our own. However, in the real world, it can appear to be a daunting subject. I can help you to learn how to plan, structure, and execute a Literature essay through templates and techniques that can be applied to all areas within this subject, including Shakespeare, poetry, novels, and drama.

English Language
You may feel that English Language plays no role within your life. However, in a world of information, it can offer the tools to understand and decipher what you hear and see in your daily life. Through fiction and non-fiction texts chosen around your interests, I can teach you how to engage with texts, understand what makes them work, and how to write creative and non-fiction pieces.

History
History provides a picture to the past. If this subject is something of a blur to you, I can help you to make it clearer. I will help you to understand and analyse the past by using your course content and writing tasks based around this, enabling you to create a vivid picture of the past within your writing. Furthermore, I studied History at University, specialising in the 20th and 21st Century.

Extended Project Qualification (EPQ)
Whilst the EPQ allows you to explore your passion in an in-depth written project, it introduces many writing methods not taught in the curriculum. I have worked with many students on their EPQs – in areas such as film, politics, and sociology – alongside achieving an A* when I completed my own EPQ as a student. Through exploring planning, research, and writing methodologies, I can help guide you through the process to discuss, harness, and execute your ideas.

Essay Writing
Essay writing is an essential skill that underpins multiple other subjects, including drama, sociology, politics, film, and geography. If you need help with any part of the essay writing process, from structure to planning, we can create a scheme to help you gain writing and academic confidence in this area.

Creative Writing
The famous writer Joseph Heller said, ‘Every writer I know has trouble writing’. As someone who has developed creative writing courses and is an avid writer, I can help alleviate this trouble; whether you are someone struggling with this for your exam or you have a passion for writing. I will work with you through the mechanisms of storytelling, from idea formulation to editing, geared around your story or programme of study.

Homeschooling
For some students, homeschooling provides a freedom and flexibility suited to their needs and interests. Tutors can help fill the gap of teachers. I can create a programme suited to your child’s needs, that will provide them with educational support and knowledge in the subjects listed above.
